Safety Genius Ltd
GDPR & Data Protection
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This page sets out how Safety Genius Ltd meets its obligations under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, alongside our main Privacy Policy.
1. Our role and lawful bases
Safety Genius Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in our Privacy Policy. We rely on: performance of a contract (delivering services you buy); legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, improving our services, keeping records of business relationships); legal obligation (tax and accounting records); and consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
2. Your rights and how to use them
You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to rectify inaccuracies, to erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to rights around automated decisions. To exercise any of them, email info@safetygenius.com from the address we hold for you. We will verify your identity where needed and respond within one month, telling you promptly if we need more time.
3. Processors and international transfers
We use vetted processors under written agreements: HubSpot (CRM and marketing), our payment processor, our hosting, email and AI assistant providers. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on the UK's recognised transfer mechanisms (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and transfer risk assessments.
4. Security measures
We apply encryption in transit, role-based access control, least-privilege access for staff and contractors, and multi-factor authentication on business systems. Personal data is accessed only by people who need it to deliver your services. If a personal data breach is likely to affect you, we will notify you and, where required, the ICO within the statutory timescales.
5. Cookies
This website uses only strictly necessary cookies and equivalent storage: keeping you signed in to your member dashboard, protecting forms against abuse, and remembering your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies, though signing in will stop working if essential cookies are blocked.
6. Data protection enquiries and complaints
For anything data protection related — including requests, questions about this statement, or a complaint — contact info@safetygenius.com. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
